Let's face it, everyone wants smooth, kissable lips (even if you aren't kissin' anyone at the moment). But sometimes it seems mother nature has some sort of vendetta out for us girls (and dudes). Sometimes we want to punch mother nature in the face. Why are you making my lips flaky, mother nature? Why have you cursed me?
Sure, there are plenty of lip moisturizers out there that help greatly but even all the lip balm in the world won't keep the flakes away.

As we (hopefully) know from our skin routine, exfoliation is key to proper smoothnicity (yes, I did just make up a word). Below you will find my own personal lip scrub recipe to keep your kisser in check.
Ingredients:- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. agave nectar**
- 3 tsp. pure cane sugar
** if you don't have agave nectar, honey or maple syrup may be used instead.
Instructions:
- Mix it all together and rub gently on your lips in a circular motion for about a minute. You can use a soft-thistle toothbrush for this process, but I find it easier to use my finger tip.
- Wash off with warm water and apply thin layer of balm.
- place remaining product in an air tight container
- store it in the fridge
- this will last you up to 6 months (although something tells me it will be long gone before then!)
That's an awesome tip, one I really need to work on!
